I created a list of 10 rules that highlighted a few different elements and principles of design. The ‘good’ poster aims to abide by these rules and create a design that might be technically good but is visually boring. The ‘bad’ poster breaks these rules and creates a design that is a visually interesting take on type and the role it plays beyond just being words. The ‘bad’ poster aims to use type as a grid almost.
For this project, I worked on creating a minimum of 50 iterations of each poster, to really understand how to work with type on a very detail oriented level.
